Do not judge a bottle by its appearance

I bought something really cute yesterday ...

Guess what this is? A water bottle? nope...
It is an ... umbrella!
It's water-tight so the water will not spill out and u can hook it onto ur bag...

Woolly woolly...

I want to stay with the tree

I Want to Stay with the Tree

Do you know how much I long,
For your one word of praise?
Yet everything I did was wrong.
I hear your voice blaring in my face,
The one who loved me was gone.

Oh how I yearned for your touch,
When my body hurts so,
You turned away, didn't bother much,
My eyes traced your steps, my pain untold,
As you drift'd off with a shrug.

If you can't have me,
I want to stay with the tree.
Let me go far far away,
I will find a place.
A bright, magical one,
with butterflies dancing in the sun.

How can I talk to you, like...
Before? You'd smiled at me.
When I could sit close by your side,
As you read out stories of Winnie.
And then you kissed me goodnight.

What are they asking me now?
I don't want to think, please...
But I want it to stop somehow,
God, take me out of these miseries!
I want to shout it out loud!

Don't you know I still want you?
Just can't find words to say.
My real needs, if only you knew.
For you to accept me I will pray.
I wish you'll know how I feel.

Written by a Child Protection Officer, this poem was inspired by the experience of an abused child under her charge. It tells the story of an 11 year-old boy who was subjected to years of harsh and humiliating physical abuse. While scars and wounds heal over time, his story reminds us of the psychological damage abused children like him may face and the long journey ahead in recovering from the trauma.

The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3

I caught this show with Tracy and I enjoyed it very much as it brings out the life of the simple man, Garber, and we realised is not that simple afterall. As Garber kept saying, "I am just the guy, the guy at the end of the mike. It turns out he has greater strength than what he think he has and the pple ard him thinks, esp his boss. He has an exceptional gift of connecting to other pple and identify with them in their deepest emotions. I have to hand it over to him. In one hour, he is able to find out the terrorist's name, religion, deep life experience and even counsel him. Despite possessing such amazing qualities in the negotiation, Garber said" I am not a hostage negotiator, I am just a civil servant employee." :P He has excellent listening skills, in my opinion and was vulnerable and honest with himself and others. Also somone who stands by his principles yet having a compassionate heart, knowing when to bend the rules. He connects to the heart of the terrorist such that at the end of it, he is been seen as the hero, as the reliable person. He said in the show that when he was wearing his socks in the morning before going to work, he did not expect this to happen. Something so mind-blowing. It reminds me once again that we need to be tested to know what we are worth, to know what we are capable of. Living a mundane and routine life will only serve to hide the qualties we possess. The quote I like from the show is when the terrorist Ryder told Garber, "I know how my day was going to start" and he replied, "Do you know how it's going to end?

Do you know how it's going to end?
