The Important Things In Life

The Scarecrow

Dorothy: How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?

Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.
The Lion

Cowardly Lion: Look at the circles under my eyes. I haven't slept in weeks.

Tin Woodsman: Why don't you try counting sheep?

Cowardly Lion: That doesn't do any good. I'm afraid of them.

[sobs loud]

Tin Woodsman

Wizard of Oz: As for you, my galvanized friend, you want a heart. You don't know how lucky you are not to have one. Hearts will never be practical until they can be made unbreakable.

Tin Woodsman: But I still want one.

Mid-autumn festival at ECP - Childhood revisited

How can mid-autumn be without mooncake?

"Dun think I dunno...You want more right" haha...
(Actually Esther was asking why I give her first each time)

The double egg yolk in our mouths... "Egg-yolk smile"!

Cool!

Loo at how happy they are :)

It was a night we revisited our childhood...childhood ambitions, childhood memories, holiday trips, unique experiences, family members, our names, our favourite mooncake, personality, animals and why we like or dun like them (din know that riding on a horse will affect the reproduction system of males..hmmm...), children, parenting, questions on questions, people around us, the sea, nature, lame jokes, movies, laughing (real and fake laughter), washing hands, camps, rollerblading blah blah blah

Lovely! :)

It's during such times the feeling of nostagia is the strongest. It was truly a spontaneous night. Not well-planned, just following the feeling and doing it. I am starting to enjoy it more and more. It's a good break from the routine.

Hop on the wagon and here you go... brains behind, just bring the CHILD in you :P

Thank God It's Friday

The first weekend to look forward to, after many weeks of lessons. This time round, I can truly say "Thank God It's Friday!" with conviction. Inside of me, I am just screaming away. Whoo Hoo! lol

It has become such a routine that I am somewhat numb but definitely not so that I can't enjoy the weekends. The thought of it being "My time" in itself is liberating. Life is meant to be lived, not simply to be talked about, discussed about and furiously taking down of notes.

"Really knowing God comes through experience as He reveals Himself to you"
- Henry Blackaby

"You'll never get true spirituality from someone or something else.
If you're going to taste God's glory, it is going to have it come to you right where you are
- in your present circumstances, pleasant or unpleasant."

Musings from the show:

#1   What produces the passion in us can also make us "very angry". When that happens, it's time to STOP

#2   It's tough to follow others' instructions, it's tougher to be the one making all the decisions

#3   Compromise is necessary when it hinders you in making a living

#4   Only some people get to push others all the way and they just have to put up with it

#5   Your boss can never be your best friend even if you work with her for 20 years

#6   The way to success to to charge forward, there is no turning back

#7   You have to expect your ideas to get shot down no matter how good you think they are

#8   $50, 000 can go down the drain in a mere few seconds of quick decision-making

#9   The boss's final say is the most objective reality

#10 There is an imperfect person behind the camera for every "perfect" shot taken
